Projects, Projects, Projects

April 26, 2016

I have been so busy with school and the art show that the projects are piling up.  Blue Happy is also very busy figuring out its next move on the game board as it prepares to move beyond the blog.  I’m learning so much about having a business and how it all works together.  I’m so blessed to have Greg and Heather in my corner or I would miss things like renewing my blog and website.  All is good and Heather is on it, GO Heather!

Speaking (or blogging) about Heather those are the projects that are piling up.  I’ve kinda taken over her new house and it’s not even finished yet.  She and I have been slowly finding jewels of furniture piece by piece to finish.  We have pretty much found all the goodies we need and now to finish them.  My plan is to have it all done before they move. On move in day we just do the fun stuff DECORATE THE PLACE!

I’ll be starting one of those projects this weekend.  It will take more than the weekend to finish so I need to get started.  This project is for Clint and his office.  Clint is a simple guy not much fuss at all.  We already have a desk for his and a credenza.  All he ask was the walls to be navy and Heather said okay.  His office is in the front of the house away from the hub of the house.  He would like for it to be a bit of a man cave so that is the plan on decorating.  I’m taking an old china cabinet and turning it into a liquor cabinet.  It’s gonna be so cool he is gonna love it.  I bought it off of an on-line garage sale site for only $40.  When I’m done with it he will be proud to serve from it. I just need to make it as manly as possible without making it to over the top.

As I’m doing this project I’m thinking ahead as to what else needs to be done around my house.  In one of my guest rooms there is a very large closet that has 2 large doors.  I have a very large bed in that room, most would say its to big for the room.  I look at it like this the bed is big but there isn’t much in the room so it fits.  The bed was free cause it was mine and Greg’s old bed and it is very cozy for our guest.  The only problem is that it’s hard to open the closet doors because the bed is in the way.  Greg’s solution give me one of the things I’ve begged for a sliding barn door.  Yep he is gonna build one here in the next week or so.  I’ve been online picking out the hardware.  I can’t wait to have this done, I’ve been wanting one for years.  Now that’s gonna be a great blog moment.

Greg was busy this past weekend working on a project that I needed finished for the patio and the engagement party this Friday night.  I had requested a small table build from old lumber that will sit in between to lounge chairs.  He was like a crazy person cutting and slinging wood on Sunday and finished it up.  Now I just have to finish it off with a paint and stain  treatment.  This little table will be a blog later this week.  I can’t wait to show it to you.

I’ve got other projects lined up to get finished as well as this new venture for Blue Happy.  I work out, teach, blog, have family time, be a wife, friend, mom and Lolli and I would have it any other way than busy, busy, busy.  I love Blue Happy days and I hope your Tuesday is just that Blue Happy.
