Not the Day I Thought It Would Be

July 18, 2016

Lets start todays blog with good news and that is the winner of Fridays Birthday blog. And the winner is………….

                        Angelena (Angie) Howard

I’m so excited for her. Angie if you will please send me your address via the Blue Happy email I will ship this to you on Wednesday morning. Bluehappyliving@gmail.com or PM me on Facebook your address. You all seem to like the giveaway so I will be doing this more often. Lets face it I can’t keep all the things I make so I’d love to share with you.

You know how on Sunday night as you get ready for bed, in your head you go through your plans for the next day. Thats what I did and boy did I get a big surprise. My day didn’t go as I planned it at all. As a matter of fact my plans got knocked out of the park.

My blog was almost ready to post today all I had was one little thing to do around 9 and then home to finish up a project and then post. The little thing I had to do was go with my daughter to drop off Ethan at Reading Camp. We did that and she took me back to my car. I headed out home and she headed to work. I got that call that NO momma wants to get, Heather was on the other end of the call screaming. An elderly man turned in front of her and she hit him. My first thought was she is 6 weeks from delivery what about the baby. Well after what seemed to be the longest 20 minutes to the hospital the baby seems to be just fine. Although more test are being run I think at this point the Doctors are calling her lucky. They are running more test just to make sure all is good with little Scarlett and they should release her later this evening.

I’m in charge of the little one Ethan for the rest of the day. First stop when I picked him up from Reading Camp, kids meal. I hope my daughter doesn’t read todays blog or I’m in big trouble. Miss Hippie momma not a fan of kids meals unless they are extreme healthy, at least I got him chicken. The hospital is just around the corner from my house so I can get there if something changes.

Today teaches me that no matter your plans or what you think is important, things always change. I love my daughter so much and it broke my heart to drive up to the wreck. I don’t think I was breathing until I saw her face. All at once she was little again and I wanted to make it all go away. My day was planned out hour by hour. I had a long list but now I’m cuddling a tiny little 5-year-old that has no idea what went down with his momma this morning. My list can wait it sadly seems pointless. We all rush everyday and forget what is most important. Like telling each other we love them, making sure that the people in our lives know we love them and simple not living in the moment. We all need to remember to live in the moment we are standing in. We seem to have one foot in the moment and on foot stretched out to the next place we need to be. Although I wished it didn’t happen I hope that my daughter will learn from it and hold on to every moment as a mommy. This day could have been much worse, this blog could be a lot darker but it’s not. God is so good and he has us covered in all events in our lives. Trusting him!

I’m happy that Angie won the giveaway and I look forward to more giveaways in the future. Monday is the best day of the week and I’m gonna make the rest of my day great. Have a blue Happy afternoon.
