What To Do?

January 27, 2017

Cleaning up my studio I realize I had so many cans of spray paint that were half empty or even less.  In the clean up I found all kinds of bits and pieces of things. When I clean I organize my mess in piles.  Once all organized I then begin to put things away in the right spot.  As I turned to the table that had all kinds of spray paint my thought was I wish I could put it all in once can.  That way it wouldn’t take up so much room on the shelf.  Better yet I could see how many small projects I could get out of each can.

So here is what I found in my stash of small  redo’s.  I picked 5 items from the pile a white wood box, 2 wood tissue box covers, a bread tray with heating tile and a wood box with a handle. I used a different color on each one because there was only a little paint in each can.  I pretty much did the normal process to each one painting, sanding for the worn look and clear coating.  I thought the wood box with the handle should be unpainted and just sanded on the outside worked best.  I only painted the inside and added the stenciled flower.

I had a blast doing these small projects.  All 5 only took me about an hour and they are ready to be put back into any decor.  I’m sure if you looked around your home you have things you could restore. You don’t have to use spray paint you could use any type paint to make it new again.  If you don’t have a sander you can get sand paper at the Dollar Store and sand by hand.  This would be a great Saturday project to get the kids involved.  How fun to have everyone pick something from their room to redo.  Well it’s the weekend and I’m off on an adventure tomorrow.  I hope that you have lots of Blue Happy memories this weekend as well.

All 5 of these items will be at Doc Holliday’s 113 S Birmingham Wylie Tx. on Saturday the 28th of January.
