Does Your Home Make You Smile

July 7, 2017

Tomorrow is the second sidewalk sale of July at Doc Holliday’s Emporium. My collection of things this time around is  Whimsical and artsy with a touch of Texas on one particular piece.    After all life is way to short to have everything in your home all matchy, matchy.  We need those things that pop and give us a moment to smile.  When was the last time you just stood in a room of your home and really looked around?  Is there clutter, things that make you cringe or are there things that make you smile.  I’m not happy with Greg’s office it makes me sad to walk into that room of my home.  I don’t spend a lot of time in there but he does so I’m on a mission to make his office Blue Happy.

I’m trying to make a point that our home is where we need to find comfort and not worry about what the rest of the world is saying or doing.  I can’t even imagine having to walk in my home and just wanna turn around and walk out.  Home is where we need to refuel, recover and be loved.  Yes your home can offer all of that but you need to put a little work in.  I have a friend her name is Jessica.  When I first met Jessica she was struggling with all kinds of issues in her life. Her health was failing her and this was causing all other areas of her life to fall apart.  She is one of the sweetest people I know but if you are an outsider looking in you might judge her by what you see on the surface.  Months have passed and I have watcher her get a grip on her health and now her life is looking so full.  When someone shows a surface of anything other than the norm we need to look below the surface to see what is really going on.  Have heart for that person.  Ignoring them only puts more pressure on them and what they are going through.  We need to love each other more not disconnect and walk away.  Feelings get hurt and stain the heart of those that are reaching out.  Jessica is a shinning example of getting things together.  She has even started to touch base with her creative side.  I’m loving the view as her friend and watching her create things for her home. Creativity can really give you a case of the Blue Happy smiles.

I let you see a couple of the items I will have at the sale tomorrow but there is more I didn’t show you.  I’ll post a blog in the morning with all the pictures at the sale. If it rains it will all be inside in the Blue Happy Living booth.
