Against My Will

September 5, 2017

There are so many people pulling at me to join them in what I call a sad event. These people are of a large group who start nagging at me to be a part of their happiness. It’s crazy and some of them seem almost like a zombie over it. Everywhere you look people are falling for this thing. I’ve fought it up until today and now I’m in. I’m talking about “FALL”. Every store has it already up and even drinks are named after it. I’m a summer girl and Fall/winter is just not my cup of tea. I guess today I thought I can’t beat it so why not join them.

So today Fall arrived at my Blue Happy Living booth. Just a touch here and there, but still I’m excepting that Fall is here and summer is fading. I do love Thanksgiving and all that it stands for. I love having family time and all our favorite foods. I’ve loaded up the Blue Happy products to help with your holiday. I’ve got dinning tables, chairs, benches and home decor to make your home full of color and organization.

Now is the time to start to think about preparing your home for the holiday visitors. Make a list and a timeline when you want it to be ready. That way there isn’t that 3 day rush beating yourself up cleaning. You will feel better, happier and enjoy your holiday. I like to start with my kitchen cabinets giving them a really good clean out of things I no longer need. This year I’m going to donate my items to the hurricane area in Houston so those items can go to families that need them. If not then maybe you know a young family in your church that are in need of things to help their family. Who ever you give to it’s all good and helps you in decluttering your home before guest arrive.

Remember to use things out of the ordinary when organizing your pantry and closets. Old drawers are one of those things I love to use. Paint them out a different color and stack them on the selves. Mason jars or old pickle jars are great for keeping small items gathered together. I also like to use shoe boxes (as long as they are sturdy) covered with fabric, paint or paper. These are great for art and craft supply storage. You can go and buy things at one of those organizing stores but boy oh boy open up your account cause it’s gonna cost you.

Stop by Doc Holliday’s and see all the new things I’ve added to the booth. There are over 30 new items! This weekend September the 9th is the sidewalk sale so I’ll be adding more new pieces out front on the sidewalk. So much to pick from and enjoy in your home. Don’t forget Blue Happy always gives 20% off at the sidewalk sale!!!
