Doctors Report No News Is Good News

November 7, 2017

Well today I went to the specialist to see if he could give me any insight on why only the left side of my head hurts. When I get dizzy it’s only on the left side and only my left side of my vision is affected when all the above happens. Here is how it went down. Well Mrs. McCormick your CT scan is clear and so is your MRI so no stroke, no tumors and no blood or vessel issues. After a few touchy feely test to my neck he arrived at this. I think you have a pinched nerve. My reaction “Really”. So now we are doing another MRI but this time of my neck area. Also checking for a nerve that can be fighting with a muscle or something like that. At this point I’ve grown use to the dizziness and the blurred vision. So Until next week after the MRI we still don’t know anything. He gave me some meds but then added as he walked out the door I don’t think these will work but we can give it a try. WHAT! Well I’m not gonna fill those babies EVER! I don’t like to take meds if there is a more natural way to fix it. Also the remark about giving them a try kinda put me out. I’m a find the problem and fix it kinda person. I’m not going to be a very good elderly person if I have to be sick. I don’t like to hurry up and wait for anything.

Anyway the day seem to headed in a better direction as Greg and I drove home.  We turned into the neighborhood to find a beautiful wing back chair sitting on the side of the road.  He pulled close and I but it into the back of the truck.  We made a U-turn and went to my new storage place.  Greg was helping me get it out of the truck and there was a moment of miscommunication.  As the front of the chair dropped a staple made its way in to my right thumb muscle.  At first I thought it was just ripped opened but no the staple from the bottom of the chair was in my thumb.  The pain was not fun nor was  the bleeding stopping.  We got home and as I slumped to the floor in the bathroom Greg wiggled it out of my hand.  I don’t like things like this.  I hate those TV shows that are about the ER or bloody reality shows.  It’s best left out of my line of vision.  So the staple is out, my hand still hurts and it’s gonna be a long week.
