….and They Moved On

November 8, 2016

Three months ago my daughter her 5-year-old son and her Husband moved in with us. They were building a new home and it wasn’t ready but their lease was up. So not to pay an outrageous amount of rent for a month to month lease back home she came with way more than she left with 6 years ago. Oh and I guess I forgot to include she left this time with more than she came back with because she had a new baby while staying here.

Move out day came up so fast I wasn’t ready with all the furniture I was doing for them. They were okay with that I think we were all ready to have our own space. I only have a few pieces left and will have those done by the weekend.

Their house is so amazing and beautiful. They did a great job picking out all the tile, carpet, wood, cabinets and so on. She went with taupes, warm grays and warm brown. The subway tile in the kitchen is timeless. Her kitchen granite has a warm taupe feel while the granite in the master bathroom is a spa like feel. They extended the patio so it will allow them a dinning area along with an outside living area. Off to the side will be an outside kitchen area. Clint loves to grill so this was a must have. Ethan and Scarlett’s rooms are coming together with much of their personality showing up in the design. The master is split from he kids room with warm colors and furniture that will prove to be a nice retreat. The family room and kitchen are open to each other and will be great for those Cowboy games. All in all it is going to be a great place to raise those babies. Many memories to be made inside these walls.

As the movers placed all the furniture in each room I went about arranging the rooms. Heather didn’t seem to mind that I did this she was just place it was done. This was one tired momma. Janice my grandma partner is the best at taking a pile (and I mean a pile) of screws and figure out not only the crib but Ethan’s bunk beds as well. She hooked up the frig and got a handle on what was needed for the washer and dryer. By the end of the night tonight we had pretty much everything in place. Now they can open all those boxes left in the garage. They used Black Tie Moving and they were amazing. They did such a careful job with all their things, not to mention they were polite!!

I’m so happy to see my daughter get her what could be her forever home. It has all they need and all they will ever need. Ethan ran all around the house saying this is my new house and I love it. Janice and I couldn’t stop laughing at him and all his little sing songs about his new house. I’m not showing any photo’s as of yet I’ll be blogging about her house as I finish up each room.  I hope today was blessed for you and you made some memories. It was a Blue Happy Tuesday for sure.
