Gearing Up!

September 7, 2017

I worked from the time I got home from the gym at 7:30 this morning. I’m getting all geared up for the big sidewalk sale Saturday.  I didn’t really stop all day until I had a late day appointment. I made that appointment and on my way home I was planning my evening out to the last-minute so I could get the rest of my projects finished. I was almost home and I got a text from Greg. Wanna have dinner out? As I sat at the light thinking if I go out there is no way to get finished up tonight. On the other hand Greg is asking me out to spend time together and that is what I did. I spent the evening with my sweet husband. We talked, enjoyed some amazing music and ended up having a great time. As I walk through the garage and the unfinished projects for Saturday’s garage sale I didn’t care. It will all get finished up and ready for loading on Friday night. The time I spent with Greg was well spent and well deserved.

Sometimes I think that we all over look those in our lives that matter the most. I know I’m so guilty of doing that. We all pile so much on our plates that we don’t see what is important. We sit at a table with our children or spouse right in front of us but yet our mind is miles away at our job or making a mental to do list. We just need to live and walk in the moment we are standing in and not what’s next on the list.

I’ll give you a few sneak peaks of what I worked on all day. Just a teaser until the finished projects are photographed tomorrow. I’m loving this new color I’m using from the Chalked Country Paint line called Polished Turquoise. I love its brightness with a touch of vintage shabby chic. Most all the pieces can go together or be used as a stand alone piece.  I’ve got pieces that are metal, colorful and on wheels and ready to roll.  My favorite is a table and chair set with 5 pieces pulled together to make one awesome set to change any dinning room.  It could also be added to a family room for a great game table.  I’m offering 20% starting Saturday morning when Doc’s opens at 10am. The teaser picture only shows a small part of what will be there.  I’ve heard there are going to be several outside dealers setting up in the parking lot. Booth holders from inside will also be setting up in the front parking lot.  I’m so excited I always find great treasure.  I know that Junk Punk Haus has been working on some pretty special items for the sale and so has Vicky Lynn’s Decor.  I can’t wait to see their stash of goodies.

Tomorrow is Friday and I can’t wait to get the weekend started.  I’m looking forward to the gym, teaching and coming home to all of my projects.  Lot’s of work to do and many projects to load in my Blue Happy Pick-up.  Time to lay my head to rest after all it’s 8pm!
