Home Made Holiday

December 18, 2015

The days are numbered to Christmas day. I hope at this point you have scaled down your list of things to do. After all it’s about the time spent with family and friends that matter. I decided to share with you a project that I’m doing at my Christmas Eve party.

This project is fun for all ages and gives your guest a holiday gift to take home. The supplies are easy to get at any craft store. There are only 3 supplies needed:
-Clear glass Christmas balls
– paint
– ribbon

Set up all your supplies in an area that several people can get around. Cover your table so paint doesn’t mess up the top. Then you are ready to start your project.
-First remove the top of the Christmas ball and set it to the side.
-Decide on 2 or more colors to pour into the ball. You want to put at least a quarter size of each color.
-Replace the top on the ball.
-Holding the top slowly move the paint around inside the ball until it covers all the inside of the ball.
-Tie ribbon on the top for decoration.
-Have small gift bags to place the ornament in. Make sure these bags are the right size so it doesn’t roll around. That way the paint can dry while it sits in the bag.

This project is so easy but has a big punch and your guest will have a holiday memory every time they look at it. I’m also going to have paint pens on the table if they want to write the date. Make sure if you do that you get pens for glass. There is now a sharpie that is for writing on glass.

I’m so excited about Christmas Eve and sharing this with my guest. I love to have projects for my guest it makes me Blue Happy. What project will you have for your family and friends to do?
