Unhappy!

July 7, 2016

Not really unhappy just frustrated! So yesterday I had all these plans of redoing my pass between laundry room. I had shopped ahead made sure I had all the supplies. I’ve done many make overs before so I knew the time frame I needed to do this small so-called laundry room. I was sure I could get it done in just one day.

I had a Doctor appointment in the morning so off I went. I just wanted to get that done and back home. I was so excited to get started. While I was gone I had ask Greg to move the washer and dryer out so I could paint. I’m still restricted from  lifting because of my surgery or I would have done it myself. Greg decided he would surprise me and do the 2 small loads of laundry before he disconnected the machines. First load of wash done,  in the dryer and done. When he put the second load in the dryer “oh no” it wouldn’t come on. My set is almost 13 years old and we had been getting this code on the screen for the past few months but Greg would clear it and it would work again. This time is wouldn’t clear and through the website we found out the code meant the main electronic board had gone out. The codes all the months before was letting us know that is was gonna happen sooner or later. To replace it over $200 YIKES! I don’t think so on a machine that is almost 13.I left my doctor’s office so excited to get home and start. Boy was I in for a big let down. Instead of spending the day painting and redoing my laundry room I spent it with Greg shopping for a new set of machine’s. I hate to spend money on those kinda things. I hate to spend money on anything new because you know it’s gonna cost a lot. We shopped around and ended up at Lowes because I like it there and they give a Military discount to vets. It’s only 10%,  but hey every thing counts these days.

When we arrived at Lowes I was kinda quiet but as soon as I walked in the door my eyes were wide open to what was sitting on the display floor. The prettiest set of Blue Happy laundry machines I had ever seen. Really I mean they were Blue, navy blue with a bit of sparkle to them. To top that off they were on sale almost half off. I’ll tell you more about the brand and all the bells and whistles on Monday when I share with you the make over. Greg knew that I had no interest in looking at any other machines but I did to humor him. If I would have gone with the white set it would have only saved me $100. Greg was so sweet he told the sales guy write it up. They will be delivered on Saturday morning and I can’t wait.

I had no intension on buying a new set for this make over it just worked out that way. My redone laundry room will be a happy place to work in. I’m just about done with the painting and the decoratively organizing. So when the Lowes guys get here with the new Blue Happy laundry set it will be a done project. I’ll take pictures to share with you on Monday.

Even the best laid plans can get interrupted like my plans for this redo. I guess that is life and we just have to roll with it. If we let these things bog us down then we can’t move forward. I gave my working washer to someone who needed it and the dryer is sitting on the curb for our local metal junk man. He is retired and collects junk to sell for extra money. It’s always nice to bless someone if you can. Today is beautiful and the laundry room make over is gonna happen just a bit delayed. On the upside the redo of my Christmas closet in right on track for tomorrow’s blog. I hope you have a Blue Happy Thursday!!
