Today I Start A New Journey

May 28, 2019

Well here I sat on this first day as a retired teacher. Oh what shall I do? There is so much to do I’m spinning. I loved teaching, I loved those kids and I love knowing I got to do what I loved for so many years. God is so good and lead me in a direction that I can continue to do art. Art makes me happy and fills my soul. I love to recreate things and restore things and this is my new path.

So lets just get down to it and spill a few beans. I can’t spill my entire pot of beans because a few things are still in the works. All summer we will be spilling beans all over the place and sharing that on the blog. Blogs will continue as I promised on a more frequent time line. I have so much to tell you, so many projects to share and oh my, you just never know where Blue Happy will turn up. Keep watching the blog for your next serving of beans.

First lets start with the biggest announcement. On Saturday June 1st we are opening up in Rockwall!!! Yes that’s right we will have our 5th place at Rustic Warehouse. I’m so excited to serve that area with more Blue Happy treasures. I will be in Rustic Warehouse from 12-1 if you want to stop by and visit. It’s such a cute warehouse to shop with so many great farmhouse choices.

What does that mean for my other stores? Nothing other than you will have more places to shop Blue Happy depending on what area you are in. You will notice a difference in my Blue Happy booth at Doc Holliday’s. Doc’s is my home place. Randy and Sheri gave me my start and I love being there but I want to make sure that I have items at all my stores for you to shop so we will be changing up the booth at Doc’s. This Friday go down and visit my booth it will be filled with all new items. Things to brighten up your porch, patio or home.

Waco stores BoHo Buffalo, Junky Monkey and Cameron’s Trading are rocking as well. I feel like I’m on the road to Waco at least 2 or 3 times a week. I guess that’s because I am on the road that much each week. I’m not complaining I’m grateful and blessed that all this is happening. Not to many get to restart life so late in the game. I’ve prayed about this, planned this, wished and hoped for this. Then one day I let go of it all. I gave it all up to God. He is answering those prayers. Someday I’ll write a blog on how many times we have seen His work and wisdom in all this. My daughter calls me often and says “Mom God has your back He did this”. Yes honey I see it and I’m so glad you are on this ride to see it with me.

Heather will continue to work with Blue Happy and so will my handy man the hubs Greg. Anna will be back in Waco working Cameron’s booth in the fall and this summer I have a new partner. It’s only for a few weeks but the bestie Karen is coming on board to help. I’m sure I will drive her crazy so if you see her and she looks dazed I finally did it.

All of this from the beginning started on my 50th birthday because my daughter gave me my blog as my gift. I had no idea of the twist and turns ahead of me. There are so many more twist to this thing, so many more turns. I can’t wait to share it all with you guys and share I will as things get into place. Thank you all for the support you have given me, thank you for the love and understanding. Most of all thank you for the prayers and encouragement.
