1 Year! What A Year It’s Been

August 28, 2017

I can’t believe it’s been a year come this Tuesday the 29th of August. My daughter gave me another grand baby. Little Scarlett came into this world and brightened all our lives. She was so beautiful and just a puddle of pink. Once again amazed at God’s glory and grace in my life. What did I do to deserve such blessings. I’m so grateful for His abundant love in my life.

On Sunday afternoon we celebrated this little pink puddle of sweetness. She is a character that makes many of us giggle. Making faces is one of the treasures of this child and she has many. I love them all even the “I’m so bored with this” look. My daughter has done a fantastic job with raising her babies. Way better than I did. She is truly doing her best to follow Proverbs 31. On Saturday night Heather and her Bestie Alex spent the night at our house. Their  hubby’s were having the football/fight night at her house. It was fun to have them here. Heather faced time Clint for the kids to say good night to their daddy. I almost cried when I watched Scarlett talk to her daddy. It was so sweet and touching. Clint serves his family well and they love him.

The birthday party was planned with so much love.  My daughter decided despite popular demands to have an over the top and expensive party for a one year old she did a DIY party.  It was beautiful and fun with out all the over the top expenses.  I loved that she picked a food that Scarlett loves and used that to decorate the party.  The party was in the afternoon so simple foods and treats were the perfect touch.  Her photos were taken a few weeks before by an amazing photographer amberjaneimages.com, check out her work  she is amazing! Heather had photo’s on a display all from Scarlett’s first year.  The rest of the house was decorated with watermelon, pink and green treats to eat and a cake that was made to look like a watermelon.  Scarlett was in heaven. One of the special items used to decorate was a water color painting with her name done by Aunt Alison.

The day was amazing and she was such a jewel to watch.  Afterwards we went to celebrate our friends Travis birthday.  Music, food and friendship was a great day ending the weekend.  Tuesday’s blog I’ll start the sharing the items that will the at the Blue Happy party Thursday evening 6-8 at Doc Holliday’s Emporium 113 S Birmingham Wylie.  I hope you will join me in a time of celebration. I’m blessed by you and all your support of Blue Happy.  I’m honored to share and evening with you.
