Living With Passion

August 3, 2015

Life can be so hum drum sometimes. We move in and out of our day doing the same thing without really thinking about it. We have all been there and most of us are there now. So many times in my life I have found myself thinking what am I doing and why am I doing it.

Passion is a word that is often tossed around in a conversation. I really didn’t think about passion and what it meant until I was much older.   I strive to fill my days with things that I feel passion for.  In a few weeks school starts back.  Deep inside I’m really excited.  While summer off is a great time to do things I don’t normally have time for.  My heart is somewhat sad when I think about the kids, my class and all the art we aren’t doing.  I can truly say that I get in my car every morning and the excitement builds as I get closer to school.  I love to teach them they can do anything they set their minds to.  Kids are so excited when they see the final piece of art they have created.  It is an amazing thing to experience a child’s creativity.

Have you ever thought about your own passion? Passion doesn’t have to be your job.  It can be a hobby or even a church or charity you have strong beliefs in. Passion is to do something that gives you fulfillment.  It is important for us all to have something that we are passionate about.  It’s what can make us happy, centered and complete.

Okay about now some of you are saying well I don’t have a passion.  That’s okay, sometimes we  have to dig a little deep to find it.    Look at your life really close, what makes you feel your happiest, most fulfilled and honestly what takes your breath away.  I’m sure that if you really think about it you will find your passion.

My passion is art.  I love to teach art, design art, explore art and really anything art has to offer.  With out my passion my days would be filled with empty time.  I have friends that love to work with youth and spend a lot of time with the youth groups at church.  Other friends love photography and started a photography business.  Many of my friends have many talents and passion.  You just need to look around your life, it’s there. Once you find your passion make it a part of your everyday life.

Writing this blog is part of my passion.  I wanted to share with others my love for art and decorating.  I’m not the best writer,  and my punctuation needs a bit of work LOL. I love doing this blog and sharing, so I’m putting myself out there without holding back.  It is scary to be so open, sharing my home and letting people read about my life. It has been so rewarding up to this point and I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone.

Passion can be scary at times, but so rewarding as well.  My passion is art, but has so much more to it than art.  I love sharing my passion with you it makes me so Blue Happy.
