Nashville Fun

March 7, 2016

It was a full weekend with lots of shopping and driving. I’m quiet surprised at myself because I’m just so relaxed. That is so NOT my personality. I like to go and have fun but always in the back of my mind  is my unfinished todo list. Maybe I’m growing up and hearing my own advice about cherish the moment you are in.

Clearly I made it to the airport in Dallas and my flight was good. Greg was late picking me up because my plane landed 20 minutes early. We had dinner with a couple that Greg knew from work.  We ate at Sperry’s a really nice seafood type place. It was an interesting evening but I was ready for bed early.

We got up early on Saturday to shop shop and shop. We met up with an old airforce buddy of Greg’s at the American Pickers store. That store was amazing with so many awesome things but, they are quiet proud of their things. I bought a few T-shirts, a beanie for Greg and a metal sign for my patio.  I also met the gal that runs the store and is on the show. How cool was that!!

Down town Nashville has beautiful buildings and so much to do. All kinds of venues to hear music, eat and just hang out. My favorite place had to be The Stage On Broadway. It’s so cool and the bands that play there are just trying to get a start. They get no money for playing from the bar. Several times during the night while they preform a tip jar is passed around.  I was so surprised at how full this huge jar was by the end of the night. I love to see people support someone’s dream.

It’s Monday and there is so much more planned for today. I’m trying hard to keep focused on the moment and not what is waiting at home. We all run through our day without taking a breath and enjoying it. I know I do that all the time. Try giving today the attention it deserves. Cherish breakfast with a child or have a moment to just stop and read at least one chapter of a book you love. Just closing your eyes for a moment and be in prayer. Recently I watched a family loose a young member of their family. I think she was 21 how sad to know life is cut short that soon. There is truth in live today as if it were your last. I hope your day is full, bright and Blue Happy! It’s Monday the best day of the week!!!!
