Weekend Project Warrior

September 2, 2016

It’s a long weekend people so let the weekend begin! Three days to relax do what you want and enjoy your loved ones.  I’m taking full advantage of it and making sure that I do things I love.   So before you start your long weekend no matter what is going on in your life make sure that you plan a few moments to  just enjoy things.  The truth is I do have lots of weekend warrior projects planned but first I’m gonna spend some much-needed time with Greg.  We are planning a day get away just the two of us as soon as I get out of school.  Fridays I’m done at 11:45 so off we go to have a great day together.

On Saturday it’s estate sale, estate sales and estate sales.  I’m looking for a long list of items that people have requested me to find and redo.  This list is long so I gotta hit it hard and fast on Saturday to make sure I get all the items I need.  I love estate sales with Greg he is always good at finding things for me and getting the best price.  We have great conversation in the truck between sales and we always end the day with a great lunch some where.  Estate sales have proven to be a great bonding time for us and I wouldn’t wanna estate sale with anyone else.

I’m excited about this weekends projects I have lined up.  I’m making a bench out of a twin head-board, making the 2 box seats for the kids double desk I did on Wednesdays blog, up cycling a few old wall shelves in to decorative organization pieces and making a bulletin board out of a frame that was in someones trash.  If there is time after those are done I would like to revamp a queen bed into a bench as well.  I’m also working on a special project for one of the instructors at my gym.  She trusted me when I just took a cross from her home and said I’ll return it after I juice it up a bit.  I love that my friends trust me with items from their home and just say okay.  So that is a pretty full weekend but really all that will happen on Saturday. Sunday we are saving that for family time at the pool.  It’s nice to slow down a day or two and just rest.  No running here and there with speed at your feet.  I love those days but I’m not kidding when I say I love the days that are busy, busy, busy as well.  Keeping busy doesn’t let the cob webs sit in when your are older.

Even though it’s a holiday Monday I will still be at the gym before the sun comes up.  It’s just how I like to start my day and get myself going.  I don’t have any plans at all on Monday after the gym just want to let if happen the way it folds out.  Maybe I’ll cook something special or maybe I’ll paint in my studio.  I hope you can find time to stop and relax this weekend or find time to enjoy something you don’t get to do often.  Whatever you decide to do just make sure you find some Blue Happy in it.
