Just A Peek

February 19, 2016

This week is over and it was a productive and busy week.  I’m already in full swing working on next weeks projects and blog.  Mondays are my favorite day of the week but I love a weekend full of projects and this weekend will be just that.  I have several pieces I’m working on for customers and several for my self.  All of these projects will be in next weeks blogs.

I did a quick project on Thursday afternoon that added to the vintage parlor chair.  I’m so over pleased the way this little chair turned out.  Every time I let the doggies out or walk out onto my patio I see it across the pool.  It’s such a bright color and reminds me  my favorite time of year is just around the corner SUMMER!!!  I decided this little vintage chair needed a small table to go with it.  I grabbed a plant stand table I already had and hit it with spray paint. It is the perfect size for this chair and a perfect place for a drink.

I don’t like to share projects before they are done but I’m so excited about next week I’m gonna break my rule.  This next week is full of great pieces starting with the 2 metal chairs I found at the junk yard.  You will love the way they came out and they will be for sale on the day they blog post.  So if you want them contact me as soon as you read the blog, they want last long.  The buffet I bought last week at the estate sale is almost finished and ready for its place on my patio.  This little beauty will add so much to our outdoor living area and make a great place to put summer dishes for snacking.  I’m gonna show you how to turn an old coffee table into a great bench.  This bench can be used at the end of your bed, in the bathroom or at the back door to sit and put on shoes.  It can even be placed in front of the sofa for a foot stool.  They are more projects for next weeks blog but I’ll keep those under my hat at the moment.

I have been blogging for a while now and I love sharing my projects, reveals and thoughts with you.  As we come up on year in July I will be giving away a few things so keep on reading to find out what and how that will happen.  I hope that your week was full of Blue Happy moments and your weekend is Blue Happy as well.  Can’t wait for you to see all the projects next week its gonna be amazing. Have a Blue Happy Friday!!

    1. LaTonya, I have several items I’m planning on redoing over Spring break that involve spray paint. Any ideas to ease the overspray? We have a coated garage floor that Jeff cringes over when I spray paint. Thanks for any thoughts. Could save my marriage or at the least some yelling. Lol

      1. I know Tammy our floor is coated also and Greg hates the thought of me over spraying on his precious floor. I have an old table that is use and I spray in the back yard. If you don’t have an old table go to Lowes and buy several large moving boxes they are so cheep. Cut those boxes and lay them out covering a very large area on the grass far away from that coated floor. If your not to ashamed to ask for old boxes at Walmart you can get them free. I’m never ashamed and will ask every time. You can also hang a large tarp on your fence and let the tarp flow onto the ground. This makes a great spray area and protects the fence and ground from the paint. I hope this helps and please send me pics of before and after I’d love to see it.
