Red Hot Spring Fever

February 18, 2016

Ok I’m sick with spring fever. Here in Texas we are having extremely warm weather for this time of year. I’m sure it’s all a joke and in a few days the weather and Mr. Winter will return. Until then I’m getting lots of patio projects done so I’m a head for the soon to be summer weather.

My blog on Tuesday was about the scrap metal junk yard that my son took me to. I found many things but one of the best things was this little vintage black parlor chair. It had one arm rest missing and a very curly top. I removed the arm rest to give it a more updated look. I’m really not into curly decorative pieces so off it went, that top piece was gone! It looked so cute once I did that, now to give it a fresh coat of spray paint.

I love Valspar paint from Lowes. From walls to out-door spray paint you can’t find anything better in my opinion. I wanted this little chair to pop when it sits by my pool this summer. I try to have as much seating as possible because when we have a pool party there are lots and lots of friends hanging out. Every little space I can put seating I do and this little chair will fill a spot near the pool that a large chair just wouldn’t work.

It turned out amazing its bright and happy. Great for someone to sit in and have a conversation with someone floating near the edge or soaking in the hot tub. When summer does arrive in full swing the red will pop next to all the green in my flower pots. This little chair was ready to be crushed by a very big angry machine. Now it’s redone, reused and ready for its next life. This is the kind of thing that tickles me Blue Happy. Go save some trash from your neighbors pile. It is a great feeling and you will find yourself in the mist of being Blue Happy. Have a great Thursday!
